The Periodontology Department is a dentistry department that aims to preserve the health of the teeth and tissues surrounding the teeth, diagnosis of the diseases, treatment of the diseases that occur in these tissues. The most common treatment in our clinic is periodontitis treatment. Periodontal diseases, including gingivitis and periodontitis, are serious infections that can lead to tooth loss when not treated. Periodontal disease is a chronic bacterial infection that affects the bone that supports the gums and teeth. It leads to tooth loss when not treated. Apart from these treatments, in our clinic we perform augmentation procedures, intra-osseous implant applications, soft tissue correcting operations.
Our Department serves with 1 assistant professor. The Department of Periodontology has contributed to the 5-year dental education from the third year of education to the graduation until the end of the theoretical and practical applications. In the following periods, it is planned that the graduate programs will be opened and specialist students will be trained in the specialization training in Dentistry.
